Core members of Performance Group Tuida open a workshop in AdiShakti. This workshop is redesigned inspired by Adishakti workshop. We would like to have chance to share the essences of performer’s existence, presence and performance energy with Indian actors and dancers through the MASKS.
Masks building; paper mash masks.
Performers will make their own masks based on the images and instincts of their own. To make a framework of their faces, to create expressions, paper mash, colouring their masks, and fitting.
Movement meditation; Performance Group Tuida’s Method of training for performers.
This improvisation method is to understand the principle of the movements which generated from body, voice and verbal action. This training makes performer’s awareness delicate and deeper. By separating your movements from the body or all organs of you, you could control every part of the movements much better.
Masks of Emotion; based on the masks of eight emotions of Adishakti training method.
You research body movements related with those masks and get to find out what those masks require through body. You could understand your body process connected to each emotion. You also do mask improvisation with the emotions and beyond.
Masks of character; based on the masks participants make by themselves.
You approach the character through the mask. You find every detail of the character and develop those elements using the masks. You understand and realize the character in the way you never expected. You tell a story made by the characters you found and make a masks show at the end of the workshop.
